A spell of unseasonally warm summer weather has once again briefly returned to give us a gentle lead into the autumn, and prospective house buyers are also coming out to see if they can find their special home before the onset of the real winter weather kicks in.
The individual nature of our homes has always appealed to those who do not want to live on an estate, and who do not like the volume feel of a high density environment. Equally they appreciate the extra items we provide as part of our specification that other volume, developers either don’t include or charge extra for if the build stage allows. We have always felt that it is better to overkill with plenty so even though our homes all have CAT 6 wiring as standard, we also include 4 double power sockets, a TV point and telephone point to every room (except the bathrooms of course!), while it is relatively affordable during the construction stage rather than save money by stinting. Equally little touches like chrome edging to our fully tiled areas of designer tiling rather than plastic, and brushed steel electrical plates throughout, not just to key areas, are picked up by discerning customers who know what they are looking for.
Orchard Place at Courtlands is a prime example of a totally individual home designed with a special type of purchaser in mind who doesn’t want to compromise on their wish list. The designer kitchen has both a contemporary range cooker and our usual stack of double oven and microwave, while it also features a second drawer dishwasher in addition to the full size family dishwasher. Taking advantage of all the light possible which is so important during our dark winter months, the family room features three walls of double glazed glass windows and a lantern roof while being thermally efficient and with the toasty addition of underfloor heating. Set in established landscaped gardens approaching a quarter of an acre with some lovely fruit trees retained from its time as an area of orchard, Orchard Place is the first time we have designed incorporating stone external features and the feedback has been it looks really stunning. The private entrance drive and extensive area of parking to the front means there is plenty of room for all the family cars.
The next few weeks are going to be a key time for people deciding to get their move underway if they can find the right home, and equally the current activity indicates these special homes are not going to be hanging around for long.
